A dynamic MEP engineering consultancy based in Bristol is looking for a Building Physics Team Lead to join their growing team and head up their building physics capability. This is a senior role with the opportunity to build and develop a team from the ground up.

You'll deliver high-quality building physics modelling including SAP calculations, SBEM, Level 5 Part L dynamic thermal modelling, thermal comfort studies (TM52, TM59, Part O), heat loss and heat gain calculations, daylight and sunlight modelling, TM54 in-use energy modelling and commercial EPCs. APEL accreditation for lodging commercial EPCs on the national register is required.

You'll represent the practice at client and design team meetings, maintaining strong professional relationships across the project lifecycle. A key part of the role involves helping to recruit, coach and manage a building physics team, developing the practice's capability and contributing to business development.

Essential software experience includes IES, TAS or DesignBuilder (to experienced user level, with the ability to train others), alongside AutoCAD, Revit, 3D SketchUp and Microsoft Office.

The ideal candidate will hold a built environment degree and relevant postgraduate qualification, demonstrate knowledge of low carbon design, and ideally be working towards or hold Chartered Engineer status.
